The Air District is aware of an odor in the Point Richmond and North Richmond areas. Air District inspectors are investigating and responding to complaints. Staff are in communication with Contra Costa Health to determine the cause and identify corrective actions. Follow instructions from local health officials.
Air District funding is available to help upgrade or replace mobile, stationary, and portable off-road equipment.

Please also refer to our Application(185 Kb PDF, 2 pgs, posted 11/1/2024) and Infrastructure(176 Kb PDF, 1 pg, posted 11/1/2024) checklists for guidance on application requirements. Applications are being accepted on a first-come, first-served basis until all funds have been awarded. Applications will be accepted until 5:00 PM on February 6, 2025. Only complete applications will be evaluated.
Eligible equipment types include, but are not limited to, off-road portable and stationary engines, airport ground support equipment, transportation refrigeration units (TRUs), construction equipment, loaders, excavators, dozers, and forklifts less than or equal 8,000 lbs. lift capacity.
Applicants seeking funding for zero-emission forklifts with a lift capacity of at least 8,001 pounds or port cargo handling equipment (CHE) must apply for funding through the VW Environmental Mitigation Trust.
