The Air District is opening a search for innovative and disruptive technologies that can help combat climate change and improve air quality in the Bay Area. 

The Air District's Board of Directors voted today to support the Paris climate agreement and move forward with significant climate efforts despite the Trump administration signaling the United States’ withdrawal from the landmark international climate accord. 

The Air District's Board of Directors has approved $4.5 million to fund projects at 15 regional public agencies to reduce greenhouse gases from existing buildings, and/or to develop innovative strategies for long-term reduction of greenhouse gas emissions.

The Air District has awarded a loan guarantee to EvGateway, an electric vehicle solutions management company focused on accelerating the adoption and use of electric vehicles by making them easier to use.

The Air District and California Infrastructure and Economic Development Bank, or IBank, announced the statewide expansion of the Climate Tech Finance program. 

The Air District is offering grants of up to $2,500 to public K-12 school teachers as well as student and parent leaders to increase understanding of air quality and climate issues in school communities.
