Residents in affected areas should stay alert to news coverage and health warnings related to smoke. Check air quality at fire.airnow.gov and take steps to protect your health from smoke. Learn how at www.baaqmd.gov/wildfiresafety. Pollution levels are not expected to exceed the national 24-hour health standard. A Spare the Air Alert is not in effect.

Learn about the Air District’s inspection activities, including types of facilities, operations, and complaints it may investigate.
The Air District routinely inspects and audits various facilities and operations to ensure compliance with air quality laws and regulations. The Air District may inspect refineries, chemical plants, semiconductor manufacturing facilities, dry cleaners, ink and coating operations, gasoline dispensing facilities, asbestos demolition and renovation, and any operation or activity that can result in air pollution.
The Air District also investigates residents’ complaints about air pollution. Inspectors determine whether the pollutant source is operating in compliance with relevant rules and regulations.
