The Air District is announcing the availability of funds to install cleaner heating options for residents located in areas highly affected by wood smoke and areas with disproportionate impacts from air pollution. The program will open at 11 a.m. on January 16, 2018, on a first-come, first-served basis.
Spare the Air Status
Funds are available to replace a wood-burning fireplace or stove with a cleaner heating option. For residents who already have a cleaner heating option, funding is also available to decommission a wood-burning fireplace or stove.
