The Advisory Council advises and consults with the Board of Directors and the Executive Officer on technical and policy matters. The Council also exercises its own initiative in selecting areas for exploration and study. In previous years, the Advisory Council has explored greenhouse gas emissions and the energy sector, ultrafine particulates, black carbon, and more recently provided input on a PM2.5 Local Risk Methodology.
The current Advisory Council was appointed by the Board of Directors in December 2023 and has begun work to discuss cumulative impacts of air pollution. Below are key documents and references to engage in the work of the Advisory Council.
