Learn about the Air District's 2018 Climate Protection Grant Program, open to public agencies within the Air District’s jurisdiction.
The Air District is currently accepting applications for the 2018 Climate Protection Grant Program.
This is a competitive grant program open only to public agencies located within the Air District’s jurisdiction. A total of $4.5 million is available for climate protection grants. Award amounts are limited to between $100,000 and $300,000.
The 2018 Climate Protection Grant Program prioritizes projects that make progress towards achieving the Air District’s 2030 and 2050 greenhouse gas reduction targets, while accelerating the implementation of the Air District’s 2017 Clean Air Plan and local climate protection efforts.
Under this grant program, the Air District will fund activities in two categories:

Deadlines
Optional Letters of Interest will be accepted through April 20, 2018.
Applications must be uploaded electronically through the Air District’s Procurement Portal no later than 5:00 pm on Friday, May 11, 2018.
Webinars and Workshops
The Air District hosted a Kick-Off Webinar on Tuesday, April 10, 2018.
In-person workshops will be held around the region to present the Climate Protection Grant Program’s goals and objectives, eligibility requirements, funding categories, application requirements, and evaluation criteria in April and May. Dates will be announced soon.
