Webcast Support

Watch or listen to select Air District meetings on your computer, tablet, or mobile device. Many Air District meetings and workshops are available to stream live and view in our archive.

See below for troubleshooting tips, or to submit a webcast support request.

Air District Webcasts

The Air District’s video webcasts, both live streaming and archive, include meeting agendas with closed captioning (CC) and video jump-points. In the archive webcasts, the jump-points allow you to use the agenda as a table of contents and skip directly to the beginning of each video segment.

Live streaming webcasts are available on our homepage and respective program pages. Video streaming requires the use of media plugins. While the necessary plugins will often come pre-installed, you may need to install or enable plugins to watch streaming video. We recommend installing the Adobe Flash Player and Microsoft Silverlight plugins if they are available for your system.

Troubleshooting

Updated 5/31/2017 There is currently a known technical issue between the video streaming player used for live webcasts and recent versions of browsers Chrome and Firefox - this problem is affecting users who previously were able to view the Webcasts with these browsers. Workarounds are provided below.

Chrome

Users who are experiencing issues with Chrome may need to enable Flash - Chrome recently made a change to the integration of the Flash plugin that now requires Flash to be enabled manually. If you're using an updated version of Chrome and Flash is not allowed to run, you'll receive an error message stating "Error: No Playable Sources." To resolve this issue, adjust Chrome to allow Adobe Flash to always run (this used to be the default) through the following steps:

  1. Click the Chrome customization menu (Chrome Menu Icon) in the upper right-hand corner of the browser
  2. Select Settings from the drop-down menu
  3. At the bottom of the page, click Show advanced settings...
  4. Under the Privacy section, click the Content settings... button
  5. A Content Settings window opens; scroll down until you see the Flash section
  6. Select the option labeled Allow sites to run Flash
  7. Click Done at the bottom right of the window
  8. Refresh or open the page with the webcast or webcast archive and play it to ensure the setting has worked

Additional compatibility and technical information for the integration of Adobe Flash in Chrome can be found on the Adobe Flash / Chrome Help webpage.

Firefox

Users who are experiencing issues with Firefox may need to update the Flash player (Adobe Flash Help) in Firefox or ensure that the Adobe Flash Player is enabled. To check the setting and enable Flash:

  1. Click the Tools menu in the browser window
  2. Select Add-ons from the drop-down list.
  3. Select Plugins from the menu on the left of the Add-ons page
  4. Select Shockwave Flash in the list and click the drop-down menu to its right
  5. Select  Always Activate
  6. Close the dialog box and refresh your page

Microsoft Edge

Edge users will need to adjust the setting that enables Adobe Flash to run - to do so, complete the following steps:

  1. Click the ellipse (...) at the top right to access the Edge menu and select Settings
  2. Scroll down to the Advanced Settings section
  3. Click the View advanced settings button
  4. Locate the Use Adobe Flash Player section
  5. Toggle the switch On to enable Adobe Flash Player.
  6. Refresh the webcast streaming video page

Other Recommended Browsers

Alternatively, we recommend viewing live webcasts in Safari (version 6.0.5 or newer) on Mac OS X and Microsoft Internet Explorer (version 11 or newer) on Windows (Vista, 7, 8, or 10).

Mobile users can access the webcasts with iOS (version 9.3 or newer) and Android (version 6.0 or newer).

Closed Captions

Please note that closed captioning may contain errors and omissions, and are not certified for their content or form.
