Bếp công nghệ sản xuất gây ô nhiễm không khí bao gồm Hợp Chất Hữu Cơ Dễ Bay Hơi (Volatile Organic Compound - VOC) và các hạt vật chất (PM). VOC phản ứng với các hợp chất khác trong không khí để tạo thành ozon ở tầng thấp, thường được gọi là sương khói. Hạt mịn bằng hoặc nhỏ hơn 10 micrômet đường kính, thường được gọi là PM10, đi qua các hệ thống thông gió và đang cạn kiệt vào khí quyển.

Ngày 19 tháng 11 năm 2008, Hội Đồng Quản Trị của Cơ Quan Quản Lý Phẩm Chất Không Khí Vùng Vịnh đã thông qua Quy Định 8, Điều Lệ 20, Mục 408: Đăng Ký Cơ Sở Nhỏ. Tất cả các cơ sở có chứa các hoạt động nghệ thuật đồ họa mà tuỳ thuộc vào điều kiện hành chánh này phải đăng ký hoạt động của họ với BAAQMD và nộp lệ phí thích ứng.
