Conservation Tip

Driving consumes a huge amount of energy.  According to the 2005 edition of the Transportation Energy Data Book published by the U.S. Dept. of Energy, the transportation sector accounts for nearly 30% of total energy use in the U.S.  To make matters worse, we've been going backward in terms of motor vehicle energy efficiency.

Mobile Coating Registration Process

  • In addition to registering with the BAAQMD, mobile refinishing (coating) operators are required to comply with the National Emission Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants (NESHAP) requirements (40 Code of Federal Regulations 63, subpart HHHHHH). Refinishing operations using paint cups equal to or smaller than 3 fluid ounces may be exempt from some EPA requirements. Please refer to the EPA website for more information on NESHAP for Paint Stripping and Miscellaneous Surface Coating Operations .
